During some printability testing that we have been performing, we noticed
certain pastes were able to remove the gold color off of some of the ENIG
test boards. Our immediate assumption is that the gold dissolved, as the
surface that was in contact with the gold appears to have the nickel
showing through.
Keep in mind that this was just a print experiment and did not involve the
oven at all.
Anyone else run into this type of anomaly?
