Dear All

I don't know if anyone had posted this website before, i just stumbled
across it today!

http://www.cadmium.org/

Is about cadmium and is quite informative, and much like the pro lead site
shows that the majority of waste Cadmium is in batteries, cadmium in
electronics seems off the radar.
It appears that 99% of cadmium in NiCd batteries can be recycled, so it
would have been better, if instead of getting the electronics industry to
bear the brunt of the legislation, getting the consumer to hand back in
his NiCd product in the first place when he buys a replacement (i.e 5%
discount for old product bought back etc ) would have been a better use
of industry resources and funds

regards
paul
