Do any of you know how capable Zuken is with the reference to embedded
passives (highlighted)? We can discuss on today's call.

SAN FRANCISCO ? Zuken announced a major upgrade to its CR-5000
enterprise-wide printed circuit board (PCB) design suite of tools Tuesday
(May 17). The upgrade includes 44 productivity enhancements in schematic
capture, PCB layout and simulation, the company said.

Zuken said that version 8.1 of CR-5000 is a constraints-driven tool suite
aimed at designers of boards that use extreme miniaturization
technologies such as embedded passives, flex circuits, high-density
interconnects and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). CR-5000
capabilities include RF design, design re-use and design partitioning
with core design strengths that meet the requirements of consumer and
high-tech electronics applications, Zuken said.

The upgrade includes enhancements to CR-5000's schematic capture and
analysis mode, System Designer, as well as Board Designer, the suite's
placement and routing module.

CR-5000 version 8.01 is available now, priced from $3,000 per seat for
System Designer and $38,000 per seat for Board Designer.
