Edo build several designs that are close at .187 +/- 10%. I believe the
material is made by bonding 2 SS .059" cores with 8 plies of 7628. Not
cheap material but it can be done.

Subject: [TN] Thick PCB Fab Construction Question

Hi,
This is a question to all the fab people.
My project requires a PCB that will have a finished thickness of 4.7 mm.
I
haven't found anyone who has a standard thickness very close, but know
that
it's possible to build much thicker boards. What is the best way to
call
out such a construction?

The other significant details are:

- 2 layers, 1/2 oz. cu
- No plated through holes
- Gold flash finish, no soldermask
- Material will be in two versions, one FR4 and one in a
hi-freq.substrate
- Boards will have an additional "cover" substrate layer laminated over
the
top, but this is not included in the 4.7 mm thickness

I hope that was clear enough.

Thank you very much for any light you can shed on this.
Richard
