Fairgrounds... http://www.vts.com/delmar/index.html

        Wednesday, April 27th, 2005 @ 4:00PM

        "Boston" Brad Saunders of Cosmotronic

                        presenting

                   PCB Surface Finishes
                           and
                        Lead Free

Learn how PCB surface finishes are affected by the new Lead Free trends now!

"PCB Materials and Surface Finishes - Both "Standard" and new-age Lead Free
or RoHS compliant assembly of circuits will be covered... both in the
selection of Surface Finish and appropriate Material usage. The primary
driver of any flat finish topology is compounded with its compatibility and
shelf life... increasing the need for 'Just In Time' delivery. As assembly
temperatures increase and the duration above glass transition increases, Td
or 'Decomposition Time' becomes increasingly used term of robustness in PCB
Materials. The discussion will focus on fine pitch, small package, BGA, Lead
Free, Complex assembly and just what will increase board survival through
assembly and maintain reliability through the product lifecycle."

About Bradford Saunders:
Bradford Saunders has 20 years PWB, CCA, Packaging and Build experience.
Engineering disciplines include design of mechanical assemblies, box-build
packaging and circuit layout. Emphasis of CAE/CAD/CAM tools, both Military
and Commercial; prototype - volume quantities. "Boston Brad" has
manufacturing experience as SMT facility planning and implementation as well
as hands on fabrication of bare boards.

Who should attend?
