Acceptability Criteria of Lead Free Electronic Assemblies Based on the New IPC-A-610 Revision D
June 2, 2005 - 08:30 - 11:30 & June 3, 2005 - 13:00 - 16:00
Hosted by Electronics Yorkshire - Leeds, United Kingdom

Who says your LEAD FREE solder joints are OK? IPC-A-610 sets the standard for electronic assemblies and is the most widely-used IPC document ever published. With its comprehensive illustrations of assembly acceptability criteria, target conditions, and defects, it has become an essential part of any assembly operation's quality program. This standard works hand in hand with J-STD-001 requirements and has been fully updated. The IPC-A-610D reflects the industry's use of process control by re-categorizing many conditions as either defects or process indicators.

The workshop will present many of the changes from Rev C to D and will answer any questions regarding the new Revision D. All participants will receive a copy of the IPC-A-610D standard.

J-STD-001Revision D: An Overview of the National Soldering Standard
June 2, 2005 - 13:00 - 16:00 & June 3, 08:30 - 11:30
Hosted by Electronics Yorkshire - Leeds, United Kingdom

The latest revision of J-STD-001, "The National Soldering Standard" is here. This document has been completely re-formatted to now include new or expanded sections addressing Lead Free Soldering, BGAs and PQFNs as well as changes to other requirements. During this workshop, the participants will be presented with the changes in the industry soldering standard and how they affect processes and procedures. The instructor will provide key comparisons between the J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 document as a tool for participants to ease the path toward the application and use of the two documents.

All participants will receive a copy of the J-STD-001D standard.
