We have built a full scale copy of a 4 mast barkship. Next year she will sail to China celebrating events from the 17th century. 1st April she was to be removed from the inner to the outer part of the harbour. In one of the daily papers you could read about problems to pass the bridge, which was not high enough, just a one or two feet lacked. So, the newspaper asked all people heavier than 300 pounds to come to the harbour, sign up, go on board and act as ballast. Primarily, there was a need for 150 such persons. How many came? I don't know, but I'm sure a number swallowed the bate. Like in early 60th when, also at 1st April, a TV program told you that pulling your woman's nylons over the BW screen would make it possible to see colours! It's said that a lot of persons tried.
