I have an issue concerning worn out machine surface coatings. I have a
MyData that has what looks like a conversion coating on the Y-Wagon that
has worn through to a near shiny metal surface. This same kind of coating
has been applied to other machines and like the Mydata, they are also worn
out. The problem with this is that the surface has become conductive and
now has a direct path to ground. When the machine was new, the coating had
created a disipative surface. I want to restore this original effect of a
disapative surface and possibly restore the lovely lustre of the original
finish. Anyone out there been down this road?
