Actually, may be used in some flying object. Electrolytes do not work at minus 55 C (>20,000 feet)like they do on the ground, so, in order to protect them from freezing, one method is to 1. isolate the body and 2.let them ripple a little. With this simple arrangement, you avoid the situation that, being in higher regions, the electronics doesn't respond when you switch power on.
