Could be, but to be safe you could ask the EU, or wait and see if they
stop you?
I took it to mean large industrial equipment being similar to power
generators you would find in damns, power transformers at transfer
stations, bridge motors, subway power equipment, railroad controls, etc.
To me, if it can be installed in racks like a server, and is not by
definition a server, or can put in the back of a pick-up truck or towed
without a wide load convoy, then it should be affected? Almost all of
the components are changing anyways so what is the point?
It doesn't make sense to exempt an electrovert oven or terradyne tester
while forcing aircraft like airbus and boeing to be LF?
I never thought of it that way.

Hi Rick,
Dan got me thinking about Test Equipment off list.
For one, HEY TERADYNE, I know you are here. I hope the Oven, Thermal
Chamber Manufacturers like Blue M, Grieve, etc with ATC, (or ALT, or
AST)
equipment etc are also here and the H.P derivatives like Agilent are
also
LF Listserver current phantom readers, raring to publish On Line.
For really large industrial pieces of test equipment I think WEEE
Category
6 best fits them. Now Category 6 is interesting since in ( ) it says
that
large industrial stuff is excepted which still agrees with Dan.
AND ON This one Tin's Kay or a TAC member is always welcome.
Yours in Engineering, Dave
