LEADFREE'ers,
I just ran across a superb 445-page presentation, "Practical Pb Free
Assembly", that was presented by Joe Belmonte and Marc Apell at the 2005
APEX in Anahein, California in February 2005. You can download the
30.8MB presentation for free from Speedline Technologies' web site at:
   http://www.speedlinetech.com/docs/Practical-Pb-APEX-2005.pdf

Speedline Technologies also has a number of other excellent white papers
and presentations on lead-free electronics, that can be downloaded for
free from:
http://www.speedlinetech.com/news_publications/white-papers.aspx?OnId=2

This presentation is probably the best single document that I have found
on designing electronics to be lead-free. And that is with my
bibliography on designing electronics to be lead-free, RoHS-compliant,
and WEEE-compliant, at
   http://www.dbicorporation.com/rohsbib.htm
already 78 pages long (0.35MB), covering:
*  25 books (1-1/2 shelves in a book case).
* Over 1,200 papers, reports, magazine articles, and other documents
   (3 file drawers).
* Numerous mailing lists, web sites, and web pages.

In this bibliography, I've included over 1,000 links to documents that
can be downloaded for free from the Internet. Please note that some of
these web sites require you to register (for free) before you can access
this material.

I'm currently adding 5 to 50+ references per day as I find additional
books and other source materials, and uploading the revised bibliography
to our web site almost nightly. My ultimate goal is to compile and
summarize all og the material-- on designing electronic products and
electronic equipment-- into my web page at
   http://www.dbicorporation.com/rohs.htm

This latter web page is also "still under construction". Since
Christmas 2004 I've pulled together information from 13 laws, 10 books,
and about 200 electronics manufacturers' web sites. If/when complete, I
intend rohs.htm to be an online, up-to-date, "Chapter 20.5" for my
books, Robust Electronic Design Reference Book, Volumes 1 and 2 (
   http://www.dbicorporation.com/book-out.htm ).
