There is a UK delay but you should not base everything on the UK. Many
of the other States have regulation in place. Note-the draft decision on
MCV's on the DTI website is not the correct version.
The Directive deadline July 2006 will not change - TAC has no authority
to change it.
That deadline never applied to categories 8 and 9 - they will have their
own deadline of sometime after 2006 (although it might take TAC a year
to decide it).
All the other delays (exemptions, impurity limits etc) due to the
Commission errors do not affect the basic 2006 date.

In the UK the delay is at parliamentary level - I have asked MP Patricia
Hewitt and the director of the DTi for some clarification but as yet
await their reply.

Kay, If you feel comfortable in reply, what does this procrastination in
following the Directives' date structure brought on by the business
electroate say about the July 2006 date or the entire RoHS document? Are
we all in for a tiny bit of a slide past July 2006, or a minor/major
rewrite?
