I guess the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars.
Sorry I was just looking at your web site and it brought me back to the
60's. My only concern because I cannot see if it is just a surface
wetting on the LCCC or there is more solder in the corner of that little
bugger. . When you go to reflow it, the flux may boil up to that solder
and draw it down possibly causing a bridge over or something like that. I
say you go for it and then see if you need to do any touch up when you are
done. Better than throwing them out.

i don't see any reason why these should be scrapped. this is entirely
beside the point, but that gold certainly wets well.

Subject: [TN] Solder on top of LCCC
Happy Friday All Ya'll!!
We have some LCCC's that needed gold removal, and we did them here
in house manually. The lady that I had doing this was really careful, but
she
got some solder on top of a few of them.
QA was wanting to scrap them because of "solder contamination". I disagree
that they should be scrapped. I can't find any spec that says they need to
be
scrapped. You can still read the part numbers, and there are no solder
shorts
from the castellations to the top. Go to:
http://www.stevezeva.homestead.com
and look at "Solder on LCCC", and tell me what you think....these are
$50.00 ea.
and I don't want to scrap them if I don't have to.
Kind regards,
