I was under the impression that anything sold in Europe after the
2006 deadline, once scraped, would be billed back to the company that
produced it for hazardous materials disposal.   That is the reason we are
making sure that anything we produce is lead free now!

My interpretation indicates that products manufactured prior to the
implementatin date as spares are exempt. However, I'm sure there are more
details hidden someplace.
