Colin,

I made a peel able mask inquiry just a few weeks ago. Got several helpful
replies. Thanks again guys.

After a very helpful vendor sent me literature and a sample we cut a
temporary template out of five mil Kapton film. This left a 6.5 mil thick
deposit in the depression I needed to protect. That was just enough to
overcome depressions and bubbles in the film. If we continue to use this
process we will have a stainless template cut.

Subject: [TN] Peelable mask

Good morning!

My question to you all on this bright but chilly Friday morning (in the
UK at least) is what you would expect to see as a typical printed and
cured thickness of peelable solder mask applied to a bare board? We
currently apply to PWB's on a screen bed with a stencil applied to a
screen. Stencil thickness can be varied dependant on supplier/type used.

The mask would then be peeled and removed after assembly.
