The Silicon Valley Chapter would like to invite all
IPC Designer Council members and visiting PCB Design
professionals that are attending the Conference
next week in Santa Clara to join us for a couple
of special activities.

First, an informal social gathering on the exhibit
floor Tuesday evening (March 8) to coincide with the
Opening Night festivities. Grab a refreshment and
mingle with us in/around the Mentor Graphics booth at
about 5:30PM. We'll chat about anything of interest.

Then, on Wednesday evening (March 9) join us for a
special presentation:

Technology and Manufacturing the Fast Turn PCB

PCBs can be ordered in as little as 24 hour delivery
however…

Often 3 day FAST turns are planned months in advance
to expand Engineering’s allotment of Design time.
Your successful fast turn PCB delivery may not be
solely a function of “expedite” money spent, the
design has an inherent impact on keeping that
schedule. We will explore why a 24 layer PCB is easier
to procure than a tented 4 layer, technologies
affecting PCB on time delivery will be discussed
including materials, specifications, test, via
technologies, rigid and rigid-flex configurations. The
PCB Designer will know in both calendar time and by
technology configurations available when to expect
delivery.  It is this knowledge that ensures a boring
board, and as we all know… “a boring board is a happy
board.”
