Solderability testing standard IEC 60068-2-69 (Globule testing for
components) and IEC 60068-2-54 (Solder Bath for boards) are due to be
published this year but I can't give you a date yet. The alloy preferred is
SAC305 although SAC307 and others can also be used. Test temperature is
245DegC.

IPC J-STD002 and 003 is in review. We are just completing a Round-Robin test
programme the preliminary results of which are planned to be reviewed at the
Anaheim meeting Monday 21st Feb....all day!

New spec is planned by year end - if possible. Watch this space.
