I just subscribed using my work email, and it does seem that makes a
difference!

If your email is ETRN via an ISP/Portal that forwards MX records to you
exchange server, the time to reconcile email hitting a server behind
yours will be the issue. AOL, Earthlink, etc will all have intermittent
issues. If your server is hit directly via a static IP with related
ports to the net, email flow is as sent, no middle-server mucking up the
packet flow and giving priorities which may not match yours.
