Goodmorning,
Does anybody know where this different profile data was developed and by
who?
Thermal Shock Requirements: MIL-P-55110F A1, paragraph 4.8.6.2.a and Table
A-V specifies different temperature profiles for different materials. For
example, GY material has a thermal shock profile is between -40C and 85C
while the profile for GI is -65C to 170C. Each material type is tested to
100 such cycles.
Note: History: MIL-P-55110 D (1985) per paragraph 4.8.6.3 had the profile
for GY material between -65C and 150C and -65C and 170C for GI. Therefore,
some group must have added more data for different materials between
Revision D and F.

Thanks,

Roger Tingler
