Good Morning Technetters,

I have a customer who is questioning the surface look of immersion silver
boards. They had assembled some and halted due to the look of a dark/black
tarnish on the silver finish.

The boards were made and the silver finish applied in China then sent to
subcontractor to assemble. The 3 boards in my gloved hands have one side
with no tarnish or surface irregularities and the second side on has the
dark/black tarnish look on surface pads and a few knees of holes appear
reddish (using a 10X lupe).

What can anyone offer for advice on solderability issues?

Thanks in advance,

Russ Burdick
