Butter coat is a term used more frequent by laminator
who manufacture laminate. The definition is clear and
"butter coat" is the result of the process, most
important is glass style and resin content. If you use
7628 and 2116, butter coat will be thin because resin
content is lower. The extreme is copper tooth kiss
glass fiber.
