The "D" revision of the IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 are in final voting "no"
vote resolution and final editorial corrections. I would expect it to be
released in January (finally!!).

You will see new a brand new layout which is much better organized than
its predecessor (e.g. all requirements for terminals will be found in
one section as opposed to the former three sections). In addition new
information is included on lead-free solder connections, much improved
BGA requirements and new requirements for QFNL (Quad Flat pack - No
Lead) devices and D-Rams.

So the new year will start out with some new standards.
