Prayers are paramount; then, as individuals and groups, consider
donating time, energy and resources. One conduit, especially for those
of us stateside, is the American Red Cross. Their number is
800-435-7669.

Hi Bill,
Regarding the island, reports I've heard state the island either moved
60-100ft, or, more of the island was raised above sea level.

The events in South Asia are absolutely horrible. Our country and the
rest
of the world needs to pitch in and help, I don't think there has ever
been
such a disaster of this magnitude in all the years I have lived.

I'm glad to hear your relatives are okay. It looks like there were many
who
were not so fortunate. I was speaking with a THAI friend of ours and she
says the Prince of Thailand was killed in the Tsunami.

Our company does business with many of the countries affected by this
event
and we are still finding out what has happened... We have company
representatives in those areas... I have no idea if they are alright or
not.

All we can do is pray for their safety and hope they make it back
alright.
Perhaps we will get news of their condition soon.

You are right, its way past time for an early warning system that
protects
all coasts around the world. I heard the island moved 100 feet! The
Whole
Island!!!... that's unbelievable.

Ioan, nous semblons avoir oublié le message de Noël cette année !

My brother-in-law and his whole family are still in Phuket, but they
were
not on the shoreside. They used mobile telephone to tell us they were
OK,
then all communications were gone. 1,200 tourists from our region still
missing.

It's time for tsunami warning systems to be set up. The technology has
existed for years, the US have a system on trial, but ought to be global
standard...

9 on Richter scale, 900 times stronger than the last SF earthquake!

/Ingemar

Technet,

checking Inge's last contributions I realized where his energy comes
from: a
young heart.

Therefore this is what I wish you all, stay young inside as this will
guide
you through recession, outsourcing and lead-free.

Ioan
