I was too lazy to web search top posting, so I asked Dave what he meant.
After Dave sent me a couple of links, I thought I would comment. By the
way, this is a top post email...
Here's a link about it.
http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/gey_stv0.htm

Occasionally there are comments on the forum regarding the etiquette of our
posts. They usually come from people who either subscribe by dial-up, or
those who get the digest form.
I have never heard complaints on this forum re: top posting, it is usually,
instead, regarding snipping, or sending in rich text. in regards to
snipping, every time you post or reply, TechNet puts a new tag on the end
regarding subscription, etc. These can build up in a longer thread. The
rare times I post, I try to remember to snip all that off, at the very
least, even if I don't take any of the original post info out.

The only other comments I have are
1) For those people that remove all of the original post and only post their
answer, sometimes it is difficult to understand what the reply is talking
about without finding the original email and re-reading that. I don't have
time to hunt for it and do that. So I prefer you leave something to refer
to in the email.
Or,
2) If you are replying in the body of the original post, please make clear
separations between the original text and yours, because it can be difficult
to pick out the new info when skimming down the email. Add a little extra
white space before or after your comments, or indent your answers, or
something. This is especially important in plain text emails.

Best regards,
Genny.

Hi All,
I'm NOT complaining, just curious. Most news groups frown
on "Top Posting". A quick web search on the subject gave some
pretty firm advice on avoiding the practice. I notice that top posting
is the norm on this forum.
I could care less. I find the information and goodwill within this
group somewhere above excellent. I just remain curious if others
in this group have any strong feelings on the matter.
I felt safe to ask the question today - Friday always seems to be
a safe time to get some slack on this type of thing! Happy Friday.
Dave
