We have heard that some fluids char, smoke, degrade much quicker and cannot withstand the higher temps. My knowledge is limited in the PCB soldering industry (so I apologize for any technical jargon errors); we are trying to help formulators/manufacturers improve the thermal and oxidative stability of soldering fluids to be more compatible with the Pb-free demands. Would also be good to know what peak temperatures these fluids see (240C-270C) in the Pb-free process and how long these fluids see those high temps in the process. Grateful f!
