Phil,

Well, I thought of that as well as there is a rather wide split (0.6") in
the plane on layer 5 but the traces in the trace bundle that bridges that
gap are min of 2.5" in length so that did not seem likely to me - but again,
I am hoping to learn something here (giving the designer the benefit of my
doubt :) )
