The peel strength can vary appreciably. Part of the variation is due to
the test itself. It is the opinion of many, that the T260 test is
superior in measuring the adhesion between the copper and the board's
surface.

Best regards

I guess that I need to reword this a little differently. I know that the
oxide peel strengths are different from the old sodium brown and blacks
compared to the oxide replace chemistries, but what I was looking for
was if
people see a difference in peel strength between suppliers of
alternative
oxides given the same copper weights and material types.

Thanks

We see peel strengths higher than that of black oxide - 2x over
non-reduced and 30% over reduced.

Subject: [TN] Oxide replacement

I have been asked by a colleague to find out what PCB manufacturers have
been getting for peel strengths from the various alternative oxides
suppliers. I think that the numbers are very close, much like the old
sodium browns and blacks but I would be interested to see if people are
seeing a difference. It might be better to reply directly to my email
address as I do not want to start a vendor up roar on the subject.

Thanks in advance
