Hi DiskDrive-Maxtor Bill, and IPC LF Listservers,
I don't think any of us know, except I think it is safe to postulate that the
growth of tin whiskers for what you wrote will be application and environment
specific. (Hey can I be President? or a Czar or something?)
Put it in space, still twist and turn it (creating localized mechanical
stresses) and have no small amount of lead in the metalurgal joint and well maybe.
Usually fusing is a stress reliever
