Hi,
For the past week I'm reading on the Lead free subject, everyone
said that using 63/37 paste with Lead free component is correct since some
component are already Lead free for some years now. But in a meeting with
my operator they said there are some issues on some solder joint on some
component. The problem they have is the wetting is no very good and the
solder joint is not very shiny. I know when we will use Lead free paste the
solder joint won't be shiny aymore but could it be the same if we use 63/37
paste with Lead free component?
The plating for the most of the component is Sn so it need to have a
peak of 230 if we go only to 221 in our peak coul dit be the reason for the
problem?? what happen if we can't go up to 230 because some componenet
couldn't make it to 230?
Thank you for all your input.
Yannick
