Matthew,

Okay you guys [Peter & Ingemar]. Quit picking on us poor folk that can't speak properly...

I can't speak for those other than myself, but have always heard it spoken as 'sodder' with a silent 'l' over on this side of the pond.

I guess that it is done this way just to be different. After all, isn't that why we drive on the 'other' side of the road?

The world would be so boring if everything was the same :-)

What I want to know is if it is spoken another way in the Southern Hemisphere?

Not too many people awake over here yet. Just past 0600! Isn't someone going to have a hissy-fit because this is of NTC?

Have a good weekend!

Subject: [TN] Solder or Sodder?

Why is it that when I watch anything on TV that has American's talking about soldering, that they call it "sodder" or "soddering" ??

(I'm not wanting to have a go at ya'all, just curious about why its called that).

Matthew.
