I think this is the URL you refer to: <http://www.coldheat.com>.

Looks to me like it's geared towards the consumer market. The geometry may
preclude it from most professional SMT applications. I also gather that it
has had a few "technical hitches" in its introduction. Look at the comments
on amazon.com.

However, I'd be interested in anyone's comments in an industrial
environment.

Lately I've been ask a question about a revolutionnary soldering iron that
can generate heat in seconds and return almost instantenously to room temp.

Tech around here ask if this is safe, how it works and so on.  I made a
search on the net on the product (cold heat) and could not get a lot of info
but that it works.

Did any one try it?  I believe that there must be a catch with this.  Any
comments?
