Hi Everyone,

In an attempt to reduce and/or eliminate solder contamination from our wave
process, we're trying to identify a material that will resist solder
adhesion to our board carriers.

Although our present situation of contamination is minimal, any amount is
still too much. We're using pallets made out of Durastone, which I believe
is manufactured in France. We contacted those folks, and they suggested we
try coating the pallets with Teflon.

The resulting experiment didn't turn out as we'd planned. Only the area of
the pallet that was fluxed resisted adhesion, and the remainder continued
to pick up particulates (just about exactly opposite of my initial line of
thinking).

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Our current cleaning frequency is every five cycles through the wave, which
will have to be modified if we can't solve the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Leland Woodall
