OT personal input:
The lead levels in Madison have measured at just or slightly over acceptable
levels.
A few years ago the city had decided that it would be prudent to implement
replacing the lead service
pipes throughout the city with copper. It's expected to take about 5 - 10
yrs IIRC.
Needless to say this has been a controversial decision but ppl seem to be
supporting it.
We've seen the harm that lead contamination can do.
Just an FYI to share.
