You must have a heck of an arm to be able to bang our dendrites from UNDER
solder mask. Must be in the wrist somehow.

Try banging a failed completed assembly on the benchtop several times
(works
better without the mask/coating), then test it. Dendrites are brittle and
break during this mild abuse. Should be able to get the PWA to work again
if
dendrites are your problem.
