The Importance of Designers Council Certification
Monday, August 16, 2004
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm (CT)

Why certify? How will being a C.I.D. benefit me? If you are asking yourself these questions, you are not alone. Other designers have asked themselves the exact same questions before going through the IPC PCB Designers Certification Program. Let us share the answers with you.
In a business climate where work projects grow in complexity and responsibilities are constantly expanding, certification stands as a clear testimony to your qualifications, your knowledge, and your skills. Printed circuit board designers deserve the benefits and recognition of certification. Industry trends-such as outsourcing and concurrent engineering-are elevating the importance of the designer. IPC Designer Certification is a powerful tool in promoting your role to everyone involved in the production of printed circuit boards and assemblies.

As the world moves closer to a global economy it is incumbent on the designer of electronic products to continually be aware of the focus driving the customer perception and expectations. National and International standardization play a key role in the implementation of new ideas incorporated into electronic products. Being able to separate myths, hearsay, and reality, especially as new regulations are brought into play, can make the difference between success and failure of a new design. Understanding these concepts and how to apply them is an offshoot of the certification process as is the ability to network with other CIDs and CID+ colleagues.
This webcast will review the Designers Council Certification Program highlighting the benefits of earning a C.I.D. credential and the importance of the program for designers. Stand out, be the best among the rest!

The webcast begins at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) and concludes at 2:00 p.m. Registration costs for the webcast are nominal.
