Is there also a method for assembling press fit connectors in case the
holes are over size ?
For example, the holes are over size by 0.001" to 0.002" from the upper
limit of the specifications,
is there a possibility of saving the boards from rejection ?

Regards,
Swati...

Ken,
How undersized is the hole? What is the type of plating finish. I have
used a connector lubricant before on ENIG plated boards. It is very
expensive. (Over $1000.00/gallon). It allowed me to press in connectors
on holes .001-.002" smaller than spec. Because the raw boards alone were
$2.5k it was worth it but it doesn't open the process window that much.

Subject: [TN] URGENT --- Lubricant for press-fit

All,

I have undersized press-fit holes on my board and they are processed
half way. What options do I have besides hand soldering? Does anyone
know about electronic grade lubricant?

Any help will appreciate.
