Sounds like an output file from a cad programme the likes of "Pads".

Get your customer to output .gbr, or gerber files from the software instead

I was wondering if anyone can give some assistance to a problem we are
having at present. We usually send our gerber files to our pcb
manufacturers in order to get boards made. A customer however has supplied
a .pcb file. We have nothing to view what this file is and when sent to our
pcb manufacturers, they have come back with a response of "cannot read this
file type".

Does anyone know what this file extension is, and if so, how can it be read?
