It is time again for the annual USERS GUIDELINES for listserv etiquette.

1) This is a TECHNICAL e-mail forum for electronic manufacturing issues,
NOT a forum for political, social, environmental, ethnic, religious, etc
issues.

2) The list has over 900 subscribers. Any post - no matter how short or
long must be dealt with by each of those subscribers. What you may think
is witty or funny may be thought of as little more than spam by many of
the subscribers. Before hitting the "send" button, please ask yourself
if your contribution would benefit or alienate the recipients.

3) Archives from 1995 to present are posted at
http://listserv.ipc.org/archives/technet.html. Before posting an inquiry
that you think may have been discussed before, please do a search first
to see if there is any previous information or answers.

4) Attachments are not allowed on Technet. If you need to send a
graphic, post it on the internet and reference the URL on the posting.

5) Blatant commercial solicitations and endorsements are not allowed on
the list. Violators will be kicked off the list. 

6) If your post is narrow in scope or a unique situation, and likely not
of interest to a significant portion of the list, ask that responders
reply to you "off-line" and not reply back to the list.

7) When posting something outside the technical scope of the forum put
NTC in the subject header.

8) You may set your subscription to DIGEST or INDEX mode to receive one
consolidated mailing every 24 hrs. With DIGEST mode you get the full
postings. With INDEX mode you get only the headers. You then send a
request to get the posts of the headers you want. To set for either,
send the e-mail: 
To: [log in to unmask] (NOT TECHNET)
Re: (Blank)
Body: Set Technet DIGEST (or INDEX)

9) You can get listing of common subscriber commands by sending the
following e-mail:
To: [log in to unmask] (NOT TECHNET)
Re: (Blank)
Body: info refcard
