Yes - some companies are already aiming for reduction of Pb from exempt
applications in advance of 2006/2010 and beyond the requirements of
RoHS. This is what was discussed in the previous email - not only what
RoHS requires.

2010 applies only to the server exemption - there is no set date for
other parts of exemption 7. In any case remember that this date is under
review in the current consultation.

and it helps other listservers.

<Many of the component vendors that I deal with are relying on the #7
Exemption in the RoHS Annex. Pb will stay in components until 2010.>

I understand what you wrote, yet it is ALSO important to note that the
current powers that are; as well as their roadmaps, have a future goal
of 0.0% Lead.
