I believe your supplier tells you fairy stories- thickness of dry film is
matter of fashion???
Maybe he decided to keep 2.0 only resulting all his customers have to switch
also.
By the way, we are using 1.2 mills for innerlayers, for outerlayers starting
from 1.5 to 3.0 mills.
