Hi Leland,
You have received several good sources for ESD shoes. To add one more,
Red Wing also supplies a variety of styles of ESD shoes, including steel
toed. (Mine are wing tips.) Hikers, work boot, tennis shoe and penny
loafers are also available.

Iron Age is one of the suppliers that we're considering, and more
specifically, their Chip-Tec design. They're guaranteed to perform in
the range of 1 to 10 meg for a year, but their soft toe styles are
limited to only one. My management team doesn't particularly care for
the tennis shoe look, and they've tasked me to dig deeper.
Iron Age does carry a large variety of shoes, but the majority are steel
toed. Management, of course, wants soft. And they also wish for
everyone to wear the same style.
Finding shoes shouldn't be this difficult.
Anyway, again, I appreciate your input. Have a great day, and let me

Iron Age visits our facility periodically with a truck.
Anyone needing new shoes can walk on, where they choose
a style and are fitted by a specialist. They stock a
good range of sizes right on the truck, and you can walk
right off in them. Slick operation.
We allow people to pick from a range of styles. Most
people make their choice based on appearance, and they do
vary in comfort and durability.
Just be careful what you specify for resistance range.
We had a situation where some people ordered a style that
was TOO conductive, and activated the "low resistance"
light on our testers.
