The only reasons to use 2mil dry film would be if you are regularly doing
thick plating onto the PCB, where overhang on 1.5mil is an issue, or are
using the film to withstand deep gold plating processes, as the thicker film
will withstand the aggressive environment for a slightly longer period of
time. We are using, and will continue to use 1.5mil as our standard Dry
film.

Subject: [TN] Dry Film

Good Friday to all. We've used 1.5mil dry film for quite a while but now our
supplier tells us EVERYONE has switched to 2.0mil. If we choose to continue
with the 1.5 we need to place our order 3-4 weeks in advance. Am I just
behind
the curve here or is it time to shop for better service? Thanks.
