Leland,

As part of a new facility we set up we invested in ESD shoes that were bought via the "Lehigh Shoemobile".  We added the wonderful, NOT, feature of steel toes.  With the addition of steel toes the selection was reduced, but if steel toes or fiber re-enforced toes are not necessary I think the choices get much larger.  In scanning through various catalogs, maybe Cabela's, I've seen other sources for ESD shoes.  Some look like comfortable sport shoes similar to running or walking shoes.

For my size 12 gun boats with steel toes I was only able to get "Doc Martins".  I found I had to add the ESD insole inserts because the leather insole built into the shoe ended right smack under the ball of my foot, ouch!

I'll bet Knapp Shoes carries a line as now do many more shoe distributors.

Can anyone share with me your experience with static dissipative footwear?
We're needing to locate both a men's and women's product with a guaranteed
performance of less than 35 megohms, reasonable durability, and of course,
the more comfortable the better.
