Hi Tom!

We had a Mydata TP9 UFP when I first started working at my company, and I
used to work for Zevatech (Now JUKI) that offered a part value testing option
with their pick-and-place machines.

As far as the ability to catch marginal parts, it's been my experience that
they may catch something that was off say +/- 10 - 20%, and as far as catching
very small fractures in caps, I would have to be a little skeptical of that
claim.

Where the value of these electrical testing systems come into play is
catching wrong parts in the wrong feeder locations. From experience, most of the
electrical rejects that we had, were from contact issues, not actual part value
problems.
