Design for Manufacture Workshop
Onsite at Tektronix, Inc.
July 22-23, 2004 ? Beaverton, OR

Instructor: Dieter Bergman

Designing printed boards is more difficult today than ever before, especially in this competitive economy. Attending an IPC "Design for Manufacture" course on-site at a printed circuit board facility will acquaint designers with increasingly sophisticated PCB fabrication technologies with the added bonus of being able to see the processes in action. This course will address trade-offs for designs that have both through-hole and surface mount components. The tolerance characteristics that make sense using the capabilities of today's manufacturing equipment will also be discussed. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to obtain first hand information on design issues that affect manufacturability.

Tektronix, Inc. and Benchmark Electronics has opened their doors to provide this unique learning experience. Take advantage of this opportunity to see the operations of a printed circuit board facility while increasing your knowledge of many issues that affect manufacturability and ultimately cost and profitability.
