Need to be precise when you ask a question like this- do you mean a 'cleaning
agent' (which covers all the families) or are you limiting it to the solvent
family? Classic solvents are those which would be used in defluxing/degreasing
equipment, or are volatile enough to be used for manual (post-touchup)
cleaning. (see IPC SC-60A).
Suggest you review the Aqueous (IPC AC-62A) Cleaning Handbook & the
Semi-Aqueous (IPC SA-61A) Cleaning Handbook for information on the other cleaning agent
families.
