Pay attention to the equipment manufacturers stated max height.

In reviewing both specs, I do not see a specification on max height.
Both specs are clear in stating that there is neither a min nor max
specification on fillet height; only that there must be evidence of a
properly wetted fillet. Therefore, to answer your question, I would say
there is no max height unless driven by design note stating so.

Subject: [TN] SMT Components
Importance: High

Good mornin' Technetters:

I have a question on components such as chip resistors. What is the
J-STD or IPC for maximum height that a component is allowed to be above
the board? Is it like .003 for?

Thanks in advance/TIA
