Thank you Dave, but not quite what I was looking for.  The units do not
have a convenient jack for the AdaptaPlugs.  The ones that I was thinking
of had an actual insert for the battery compartment that hooked to a plug
in adaptor.

We have an application where several digital thermometers are on and going
through a fair number of AA batteries.  I know I have seen plug in adaptors
that take the place of 2 AA batteries, but can't remember where.  Any
