We found the ultrasonic process invaluable at cleaning misprinted PCB's that
were in a no-clean process. Wiping only is sure to result in a plethera of
solderballs. The more critical the printing accuracy the more likely the
need for the cleaner. Practice printing on a solder sample helped to reduce
this need but when you have a PCB in a printing fixture there are tolerances
thrown in there that mess with your accuracy.
