Currently the parts being cleaned are mechanical assemblies that are inside the HV oil chamber.  It has not been used for oil covered circuit boards... yet.  The "dirty" parts would have dielectric oil and possibly some "soot" from arcing.

What is the nature of the parts and what contaminants would you expect 
to see on them? Naphtha is a good degreaser, but it's useless for ionic 
contaminants, flux residues etc.
